Georgia's GDP growth rate decreased by 4.5%

June 18, Fineko/abc.az. The value of nominal GDP produced in Georgia in the 1st quarter of this year was 11.276 bn lari, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the National Statistical Office of Georgia.

According to the NSOG report, in annual comparison the real GDP growth rate decreased by 4.5%, and the GDP deflator grew by 6.8%.

Real growth in the neighboring country for the reporting term was recorded in the areas of finance and insurance (24%), mining (50.3%), health and social activities (13.3%), wholesale and retail trade (3.9%), information and communications (16.8%).

The decline was observed in the sectors of accommodation and food services (-54%), construction (-19.4%), art, entertainment and recreation (-25.4%), real estate services (-6.4%), transport and warehousing (-9%).
