Georgia abolishes requirement of mandatory mask wearing

June 22, Fineko/abc.az. Starting from today Georgia has abolished the requirement to wear medical masks in the open air, ABC.AZ reports citing Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.

The PM noted that the use of masks will be mandatory only in closed rooms and in public transport. From 1 July the curfew in Georgia will also be lifted.

This decision was made by the Interdepartmental Coordination Council of Georgia.

Currently, in Georgia there is a curfew on all days of the week from 23:00 to 04:00.
