July 13, Fineko/abc.az. Active negotiations are underway with Turkish partners about the possible participation of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) about drilling operations abroad, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the SOCAR Event Organizing & Public Relations Department.

The main interest for SOCAR is the near abroad, primarily Turkey:

"We are considering the possibility of participating in tenders for drilling operations within the framework of various projects related to the oil & gas industry. SOCAR's main asset is the rich historical experience of Azerbaijani oil workers, as well as the drilling in the Caspian Sea in recent years under difficult geological conditions, at great depths and under high pressure. We intend to define the available opportunities for more effective application of our experience both in the country and abroad."
