President appointed Chief of General Staff

July 23, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree appointing Kerim Veliyev as Deputy Defence Minister.

ABC.AZ reports that Lt-Gen Jerim Veliyev has been dismissed from the post of Deputy Defence Minister of Azerbaijan - head of the Main Personnel Department and appointed First Deputy Defence Minister - Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan.

The relevant order was signed by President Ilham Aliyev.

The order comes into force from the date of its signing.
