A checkpoint with Azerbaijan opens in Ardabil

December 27, Fineko/abc.az. Ardabil Province of the Islamic Republic of Iran opens a checkpoint on the border with Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that the opening of the border checkpoint in the north of the province in order to expand relations between Iran and Azerbaijan, especially in the field of transit of goods, was announced by the governor of Ardabil, Hadi Ameli.

The governor noted that the development of Iran-Azerbaijan ties is one of the issues of concern to the residents of our country and our northern neighbor, and this issue was discussed at the meeting of two countries’ presidents.

"We intend to expand provincial roads to facilitate trade relations and transit of goods, but at the same time, the development of the Parsabad-Ardabil urban road will allow both countries to develop trade through access to major cities," Ameli said.
