Petkim postpones purchase of a stake in SOCAR until end of 2022

December 28, Fineko/abc.az. Some time ago, it was reported that Petkim will receive an equity stake in SOCAR.

ABC.AZ informs that this issue has been postponed.

Thus, Turkish company Petkim postponed the purchase and payment of 18% of the STAR refinery in Aliaga until the end of next year.

The company's statement published on the Public Information Platform indicates uncertainty in the petrochemical sector and the company's desire to reduce its debt as the reason for changing the date from 3 January 2022 to 31 December 2022.
