Armenians fly to Istanbul at a price twice cheaper than us - Has AZAL deceived us again?

February 11, Fineko/abc.az. For some time we wrote that a flight from Yerevan to Istanbul by plane is much cheaper than a flight from Baku to Istanbul.

After that, social media users also shared posts that turned AZAL into an object of condemnation on this issue. After the information published in the press, AZAL announced that Buta has decided to reduce the prices of air tickets to all destinations, including Istanbul.

It was announced that the cost of budget class tickets will return to the pre-pandemic level and will amount to 29 euro. A month later, we decided to check the correctness of the question.

So, from 28 February to 4 March, a ticket for flight Yerevan-Istanbul-Yerevan costs 98 euro. Yes, this is a fairly reasonable price, especially for poor Armenia.

Both Armenia and its residents are satisfied with this price. And now let's look at the cost of tickets via the Baku-Istanbul-Baku route. And here a person cannot hide his disappointment. So, on 4-7 April from Baku to Istanbul and in the opposite direction, the price is 167 euro (326 manats).

But for the Yerevan-Istanbul-Yerevan flight on 4-8 April, the price is only 78 euro. Either AZAL is deceiving us, or it is taking such steps because it considers us richer than the Armenians.
