February 16, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 9 years European companies have invested more than $20 bn in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev stated about this at the ceremony of signing of the Agreement on the Flexible Technical Assistance Instrument for Azerbaijan (AZTAF) by the EU and the WB.

The deputy minister noted that Azerbaijan also closely cooperates with the EU within the framework of the Eastern Partnership Program: "Within this program Azerbaijan has implemented about 55 twinning projects. We are also closely cooperating with the WB in the fields of transport, agriculture, land reclamation, social sphere and other areas. The WB has so far provided technical support to Azerbaijan for about 96 projects for $20 million."
