April 19, Fineko/abc.az. President Ilham Aliyev received a delegation of the European Union headed by the Special Representative for the South Caucasus Toivo Klaar.

ABC.AZ reports that President Aliyev noted that he considers the results of the meeting in Brussels positive.

"I told the public about it on 12 April. The next day, the Armenian Prime Minister openly spoke about the normalization process and Armenia's acceptance of the five principles put forward by Azerbaijan. This is another turning point in the process. Now, after official statements from both sides, we must confirm the seriousness of our intentions at the negotiating table. Here we place great hopes on the efforts of the European Union, especially on President Charles Michel, who is already actively involved in this process. He is well acquainted with the situation. I think this creates very promising environment for successful negotiations," the head of state said.
