MP: AZAL increases prices, despite everything, including fuel, is provided to it by state

June 17, Fineko/abc.az. MP Tair Kerimli complained about too high prices for air tickets.

ABC.AZ reports that in his speech in parliament, the MP noted that prices in Azerbaijan are few-fold higher compared with the countries of the region:

“Ticket prices to Nakhchivan have increased. Fuel is provided to AZAL by the state. Everything is provided to the airline by the state, but AZAL’s prices are rising. No one explains why prices are so high compared with the countries of the region. I recently flew abroad on a Buta flight. They charged us 5-6 manats to put me and a friend next to each other, and sat us in the back of the plane. In this case, it turns out that they will take money from the spouses so that they sit next to each other? In response, they say that this is a commercial company, if you don't want to, fly with another company. How to fly? Fly by yourself, like birds? Do we have another company? What kind of shame is this? You can't do such things for the sake of earning income. Let them take an example from the region, the world, look at the conditions of the people.”
