Czech Republic is interested in Azerbaijani gas

July 19, Fineko/abc.az. The Czech Republic is interested in getting access to gas from such a reliable partner as Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Azerbaijan Milan Sedlacek said this in an interview for Trend.

"On 18 July, European Commission’s president Ursula von der Leyen and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed the Memorandum of Understanding on strategic partnership in the field of energy between the EU and Azerbaijan. At that, the European Commission, as well as individual EU member states and European energy companies are looking for other potential gas suppliers, especially LNG, outside of Russia," Sedlacek said.
