Armenia starts construction of an alternative road to Lachin Corridor

July 13, Fineko/abc.az. A tender procedure will be announced for the construction of an alternative section of the road through Armenia to the Lachin Corridor.

ABC.AZ reports that according to newspaper Hraparak, the tender will be announced in August, and the winning company will undertake the construction of an 8 km section of this alternative road. 

"According to some reports, the Azerbaijani side has offered to build an Armenian section of the road at its own expense. However, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan, fearing the reaction of the public, refused from the offer," the the newspaper says.
