April 26, Fineko/abc.az. There are very serious problems in the banking sector, citizens are silencing this issue. Therefore, the number of complaints about banks is very small, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Free Consumers Union’s head Eyub Huseynov.

"It is not by chance that we get into trouble in elementary matters. One of the citizens wondered if the person who placed the deposit in the bank is a consumer? Theoretically, we know that this person is considered a consumer. But we needed a certain legal document, and we applied to the banking ombudsman on the occasion. The ombudsman replied that in order to find an answer to this question, you should contact other governmental bodies. Then we applied to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan. The CBA, on the other hand, refused to define who is called a consumer in the Law on Consumer Protection. The CBA definitely did not express an opinion on whether a person with a deposit in a bank should be considered a consumer. The Ministry of Economy answered this question with advice to contact the CBA. That is, no governmental body can answer a very elementary question," Huseynov said.
