May 8, Fineko/abc.az. As of 31 March 2019 of Azerbaijani banks’ total assets amounted to AZN 29.846 bn.

Overall liabilities reached AZN 25.5 bn. The balance capital of the sector is AZN 4.313 bn.

In March, 42.6% of sector's assets accounted for the loan portfolio. During the month the loan portfolio increased by 0.7% (AZN 84.5 million) up to AZN 12.714 bn. In Q1 of the current year the loan portfolio increased by 0.7% (AZN 86.1 million).

The growth was observed in loans in the national currency. Thus, during the month the loans in the national currency increased by 1.2% (AZN 93.2 million) and during the first quarter by 2.7% (AZN 211.2 million) reached AZN 7.983 million.
