February 4, Fineko/abc.az. At the 3 February conference dedicated to the results of the first year of implementation of the State Program of Socio-Economic Development of the Regions of Azerbaijan for 2019-23 Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov noted that one of the promising areas is to accelerate the development of the mining industry in the regions and the formation of new industrial clusters around it.

ABC.AZ reports that the minister noted that in this regard, over the past few years our country has made great progress in the field of gold mining and export: "In this area, activities of both state and private enterprises are expanding. In addition, the regions have high potential for the production of ores, lead, and precious metals in other areas of the mining industry."

According to the minister, increase of labor productivity in all areas of the economy means realization of country’s development potential. To achieve this goal, the opportunities of our higher education institutions operating in the regions can be more actively used.
