March 5, Fineko/abc.az. A meeting of the heads of the Azerbaijan Banks Association and leading commercial banks was conducted at the Central Bank on 4 March.

ABC.AZ was informed at the Central Bank that country’s main bank has given additional instructions to all banks, particularly the leading banks, for further activation of business loans.

Along with that, the meeting participants covered in details the questions of improving access to financial services in districts of Azerbaijan, especially in rural areas. It was emphasized that one of the main tasks set for the financial and banking sector should be to strengthen the regional activities of existing credit institutions, in particular, to regulate the issues of ensuring lending to agricultural sector.
