June 17, Fineko/abc.az. If an enhanced quarantine is imposed in the coming weeks, police units will also be on duty on roads leading to the districts.

ABC.AZ reports that the relevant statement was made by Kamran Aliyev, the head of the Main Department of the State Traffic Police.

He also spoke about drivers who violated strict quarantine rules over the weekend and drove to districts on unsurfaced roads.

Aliyev noted that these persons will be fined: "Drivers entering from highways on dirt roads will be identified using special technical means and brought to administrative responsibility. This week on the portal icazə-e-gov.az 260,000 people are registered, of which 70,000 people have a permit to move around the country. It was found that employees of organizations and enterprises operating during the special quarantine regime tried to leave the capital in their personal cars, abusing the privilege granted to them, before the days of the stricter regime and go to various districts of the country. Investigation is underway in respect of those and appropriate legislative measures will be taken against them."
