Georgia resumes flights


September 17, Fineko/abc.az. Direct flights from Georgia to Latvia will start from 1 October.

ABC.AZ reports that the statement was made by Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia after a meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council.

According to the minister, flights will be operated from Kutaisi airport once a week: "After preliminary discussions, we decided to open direct flights in another direction. As you know, direct flights in Tbilisi are open to international airlines, as well as to our national air carriers. In addition, from 1 October we decided to resume direct flights from Kutaisi to Riga."
