More than half of deposits in banks are in foreign currency

November 18, Fineko/abc.az. The amount of retail deposits in banks in the equivalent of the national currency as of 1 October was AZN 7.834 bn.

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee that during this period 53.9% of the bank deposits were placed in foreign currency and 46.1% in national currency.

In October, the average exchange rate of the national currency to the US dollar was 1.70 manats, to the euro - 2 (1.92) manats, to 100 Russian rubles 2.19 (2.39) manats.
