Turkey`s Central Bank raises interest rate decision as lira rises

November 19, Fineko/abc.az. Today, the Central Bank of Turkey will announce a decision on interests.

ABC.AZ reports that the Bank raised the interest rate from 4.75% up to 10.25%, increasing the interest rate to 15%. The experts' forecast was justified.

So, they also expected that the Central Bank at today's meeting will increase the interest rate by 4.75 points and bring the percentage of the main monetary policy to 15%.

After the decision, the Turkish lira rose almost by 2% to the US dollar, and the dollar/TL rate fell to 7.56%.
