December 15, Fineko/abc.az. Construction of new M-1 Baku-Guba highway-the state border with the Russian Federation from the settlement of Yashma Baglari, which is part of international transport corridor North-South, is ongoing.

ABC.AZ reports that the Azerbaijan State Motor Road Agency (GAADA) has already completed construction work in the 1st part (on the 30-km section) of the toll highway between settlements Yashma and Gilezi of Khizi district.

Since the 7-km section of the new road was designed on a concrete road, the existing pavement was dismantled, unsuitable material was excavated and removed, casting works with higher-quality material were performed, and rock filling was carried in places of weak soils.
