December 22, Fineko/abc.az. In accordance with the instructions of the president, the Central Bank and the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan provided for the write-off of the main debt and interests by banks on 1,503 loans of 830 members of the families of martyrs who have credit obligations to banks from among the martyrs included in the Defence Ministry’s official list.

ABC.AZ reports that at the same time, 286 loans of family members of martyrs, 1,323 loans of wounded servicemen, as well as 15 dead and nine seriously injured Azerbaijani civilians during the Armenian aggression were fully written off.

Non-bank credit organizations also joined this process, as a result, full write-off of loans for these groups of the population was ensured.

Banks in the process of liquidation also took part in this process. These days the issue of debt cancellation will be discussed in the Board of Trustees of the Azerbaijan Deposit Insurance Fund.
