Samsung to build a chip factory, and investments in this project to reach $17 bn

September 29, Fineko/abc.az. The semiconductor chip crisis, which has rapidly engulfed the global market over the past 1 year, seems to be nearing its confirmation.

ABC.AZ reports that confirmation of such news is the information that South Korean giant Samsung is going to build a second chip manufacturing plant in the U.S.

The company has already determined itself with the choice of location – it will construct a plant in Williamson, Texas.

The commissioning of the plant, investments in which will total $17 bn, is scheduled for 2024.
