Ceremony of bridge foundation laying on Azerbaijan-Russia border to be held today

Construction of a bridge on the border of Azerbaijan and Russia across the Samur River will begin tomorrow.

The groundbreaking ceremony will be condcuted with participation of Russian Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov, acting head Vladimir Vasilyev of Dagestan, Rosavtodor’s deputy head Andrey Kostyuk and representatives of Azerbaijan.

The agreement on the construction of a new road bridge across the Samur River was signed between the governments of Azerbaijan and Russia on 13 September 2013.
