February 9, Fineko/abc.az. The total volume of cargo transshipment at the port amounted to 5.6 million tons, or 14.6% more than the relevant indicator in 2020, ABC.AZ reports with reference to port’s press service.

In 2021, the growth of the total cargo turnover in Baku International Commercial Sea Port CJSC made up 14.6%, dry cargo transshipment 66%, and container transportation 11.6%. Thus, the forecast was fulfilled in the amount of 104%.

The share of transit cargo accounted for more than 5.1 million tons or 92.7% of the total cargo turnover.

Another increase was recorded at the oil terminal in Dubendi. The volume of transshipment of oil and petroleum products through the terminal increased 2.3 times and exceeded 1.1 million tons.
