April 20, Fineko/abc.az. This year, the Accounts Chamber has submitted a weaker report to Milli Majlis compared with the reports for the previous two years.

ABC.AZ reports that MP Ali Masimli stated about this at today's meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship during the discussion of Accounts Chamber’s report on activities for 2021.

"While, as in Soviet times and in the first years of our independence, the structure of State Budget investment expenditures will be dominated by the costs of repair and construction work, the waste of funds will continue," he emphasized.

The MP suggested that the approach to investment budget expenditures should be more thorough due to innovation and digitalization: "During the pandemic, it turned out that there is a big difference between the official and real number of the unemployed. This fact is also reflected in the report. Unemployment statistics are a very serious issue. Let's bring this issue to an end together with Milli Majlis. Let's find a solution to the issue of fake unemployment statistics," he said.
