May 25, Fineko/abc.az. The Draft Law on Execution of State Budget 2021 has been discussed by the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Policy, Industry & Entrepreneurship.

ABC.AZ reports that Finance Minister Samir Sharifov, who participated in the discussions, noted that in 2021 socially oriented expenditures traditionally occupy a special share in the State Budget.

"Last year, more finances were also allocated for defense and security spending than in the previous year. There are grounds for this. For the first time in 2021, the State Budget reflects such issues as the protection of state borders, restoration and construction work in the liberated territories, strengthening the social protection of military personnel, and these expenditures are fully covered. Measures are being taken to increase spending on education and healthcare in relation to GDP," the minister said.
