Banks' interest income observed growth for Jan-May

June 23, Fineko/abc.az. The interest income on Azerbaijani banks’ loans amounted to AZN 852.8 million for Jan-May 2022 (by AZN 187.8 million or 28.2% more versus Jan-May 2021).

In the first 5 months of 2022 (Jan-May) the Azerbaijani banks paid interests on deposits in the amount of AZN 169.8 million (AZN 28.1 million or 19.8% more against Jan-May 2021).

The loan portfolio of banks (loans to customers) increased by AZN 3.407 bn, or by 23.2% up to AZN 18.98 bn.
