Azerbaijan and Romania interest in cooperation in field of ‘green energy’

November 26, Fineko/abc.az.  Strategic partnership ties between Azerbaijan and Romania, including existing cooperation relations in the energy sector, have been discussed.
 
ABC.AZ reports that during the discussions at the Ministry of Energy, the issues of transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe, as well as the potential opportunities of the Bulgarian-Romanian interconnector and the BRUA project to expand the Southern Gas Corridor in the future were discussed. 
 
Romania's participation in the meetings of the Advisory Council of the Southern Gas Corridor, support for the project and its further expansion were highly appreciated. During the discussions the parties covered the matters of close cooperation with Romania in the trade of crude oil, petroleum products and petrochemical products. Information was provided on the importance of switching to renewable energy sources, plans for the production of electricity and "green hydrogen" in the future due to this resource. The sides exchanged views on the prospects for expanding existing cooperation between the two countries in the field of “green energy".
