Population increases food costs by 23% for Jan-Aug

September 12, Fineko/abc.az. Over the past 8 months Azerbaijani population's spending on foods increased almost by AZN 3 bn.

ABC.AZ was informed at the State Statistics Committee that food expenditures in the country amounted to AZN 15.946 bn for Jan-Aug 2022 (23% more than in 2021). For 8 months of 2022, per capita food spending increased to 196 manats.

For comparison, for Jan-Aug 2021 the population spent AZN 12.969 bn on foods. Monthly costs on food per capita in the country totaled 160 manats.
