Banking sector external liabilities grew by 3.8% for August

September 26, Fineko/abc.az. In August 2022, the money supply in manats has increased by 13% since the beginning of the year to AZN 26.97 bn.

ABC.AZ reports that compared with the same term of 2021, the money supply grew by 22.9%.

As of 31 August 2022, Azerbaijan-based banks’ external liabilities amount to AZN 1.686 bn (58.6% more than at the end of 2021).

In August 2022, banks' external liabilities increased by AZN 62 million or 3.8%.

The external obligations of banks in Azerbaijan are formed: from loans attracted from non-residents, attracted deposits from non-residents, securities placed in non-residents.
