December 28, Fineko/abc.az. The State Customs Committee has introduced a new electronic service for passengers "Simplified Declaration".

ABC.AZ reports with reference to the SCC that the new e-service allows you to quickly pass customs while traveling by air transport.

Passengers can declare goods exported abroad or imported from abroad in advance via website e.customs.gov.az, Smart Customs mobile application or kiosks installed at customs checkpoints. The service also allows you to declare foreign currency and vehicles online, monitor the status of declarations and the preferential limit, and carry out customs duties online.

The service is available in Azerbaijani, English and Russian, which will allow foreigners to use it as well.

"The new e-service will speed up and facilitate the process of crossing the border, minimize contacts between citizens and officials, ensure convenience, transparency and satisfaction," the Committee says.
