Azerbaijan’s Oil Fund sold currency for $4.2 bn for past 8 months

September 3, Fineko/abc.az. The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) keeps transparency of its foreign currency sales in the local market.

According to SOFAZ, it sold $733.7 million at currency auctions for past August.

In July of the year SOFAZ sold foreign currency at the auctions for $536.6 million, in June for $439 million, in May for $422.7 million, in April for $802.6 million, in March for $647 million, in February for $364.1 million, in January for $299.1 million.

Just for 8 months of 2018 SOFAZ sold currency in the amount of $4.2 bn.

In 2017 SOFAZ sold currency for $3.597 bn at the auctions.
