Economy Minister: Azerbaijani population`s income grows by 6.6%, and inflation reaches 2.5% for past half of 2019

August 15, Fineko/abc.az. Among the successfully developing countries, the Azerbaijani economy grew by 2.4% in the 1st half of this year, the non-oil sector by 3.2%, the non-oil industry by 15.7%, trade turnover by 20%, nonoil exports by 15%, and agricultural production by 13%, stated Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev at a meeting of the Ministry of Economy’s Collegiate Organ.

"Over $6 bn of investments was made in the domestic economy, and most of them in the nonoil sector. It was stressed that country’s foreign exchange reserves, having reached a record level, are at the level of $49 bn. For the first 6 months of 2019 the population’s income grew by 6.6% and inflation made up 2.5%," the minister emphasized.
