Measures are taken to increase economic activity of women - Deputy Minister


December 13, Fineko/abc.az. The government is taking systematic measures aimed at increasing the economic activity of women in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that the above-said statement was made by Deputy Economy Minister Niyazi Safarov at the presentation of platform Scale Up Accelerator for women entrepreneurs, held in Baku.

He points out that the country provides serious support to the development of entrepreneurship, especially women entrepreneurs: "Today the government uses all its economic opportunities for that.

The Scale Up program will play an important role in enhancing women's knowledge and skills. Without knowledge it is impossible to achieve something. It all starts with knowledge. In addition, the Agency for the Development of Small & Medium-Sized Businesses is operating in the country to foster micro-, small and medium-sized businesses. This Agency has done very serious work to promote to the domestic entrepreneurship. KOBIA does a great job in preparing the legislative framework for the development of entrepreneurship, bringing existing laws up to more progressive level."
