July 21, Fineko/abc.az. About 364,000 people registered until 10 July 2020 on a special portal with an information system for registering consumer complaints in connection with VAT refunds (www.edvgerial.az), paid so far for purchased goods.

ABC.AZ was informed about this at the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy.

Information about cash receipts received by 80% of registered users (approximately 290,000 people), entered the system through an electronic account on the portal.

Data about more than 10.3 million cash receipts presented by citizens up to this time is registered on portal www.edvgerial.az. The amount of VAT required for the refund of these checks is about AZN 5 million. The amount of VAT in the amount of AZN 2.7 million was reimbursed for the already approved checks and placed in a virtual wallet in the e-cabinet of consumers, and the remaining amount of VAT is waiting for the refund period.

These rules apply to the refund of part of the VAT paid for goods, services rendered, purchased in supermarkets and other retail outlets, restaurants and cafes.
