President Ilham Aliyev: Limitation of Internet is temporary


October 22, Fineko/abc.az. In an interview for Japanese newspaper Nikkei President Ilham Aliyev also touched upon the issue of restricting access to social networks and the Internet.

ABC.AZ reports that the head of state noted that this is a matter of national security, which was announced to the people: "Because at such a time we must protect our information system from Armenian provocation. This is therefore temporary. As soon as the active phase of hostilities ends, all these restrictions will be removed. But I can tell you that the Internet coverage is very high, and more than 80 percent of Azerbaijanis are Internet users."
