Mandatory health insurance to be introduced in Khankendi, Khojali and Shusha

December 21, Fineko/abc.az. Since January 2021 Azerbaijan is planning to introduce mandatory health insurance in 36 cities and districts of the country, that is, throughout the country.

ABC.AZ reports that State Budget 2021 envisages AZN 1.044 bn for the State Agency for Compulsory Medical Insurance for financing the health care costs of administrative-territorial units not covered by the MHI, in accordance with the sequence of application of compulsory medical insurance on administrative-territorial units of the country and for financial support of a number of measures in the field of public health protection, that amount to AZN 60.9 million (or 6.2%) more against 2020.
