January 5, Fineko/abc.az. One of the main causes of the price increase in the domestic market of our country is growth of prices for imported products in foreign markets, ABC.AZ reports citing Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov.

The minister points out that the interventions carried out by a number of countries, which are the main import markets, in the direction of ensuring price stability in the domestic market, as well as the creation of food stocks, create an additional burden on this process.

"These increases that have occurred over the past year are manifested in sales prices for all imported products on the domestic market. At that, due to rising prices for components of imported raw materials, prices for domestic products are also starting to rise. Unfortunately, we also have import-dependent components in this area," the minister said.
