Georgia`s tourism revenues declined sharply

September 10, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug of the year Georgia's tourism earnings decreased by 78% or $1.8 bn to $483 million compared with Jan-Aug 2019, ABC.AZ was stated by Deputy Finance Minister Giorgi Kakauridze of Georgia.

According to the deputy minister, the biggest blow during the pandemic was to the tourism sector. Kakauridze points out that for the first 8 months of 2020 his country’s tax revenues also lowered by 330 million lari ($106.3 million) against 2019.
