Biden signs an order banning to buy shares of Chinese companies

June 4, Fineko/abc.az. U.S. President Joe Biden has signed an executive order banning Americans from buying shares of some Chinese companies.

ABC.AZ reports, citing the foreign media, yesterday Joe Biden signed a document prohibiting American entrepreneurs from investing in 59 major Chinese companies in the field of defense industry and surveillance technologies.

"The executive order prohibits U.S. citizens from purchasing or selling any publicly traded securities," the White House said in a statement.

It is specified that the ban will begin on 2 August.
