Government in Kazakhstan has resigned


January 5, Fineko/ The government resigned against the background of the protests that began several days in Kazakhstan.

ABC.AZ reports that Kazakh president Zhomart Tokayev accepted the resignation of the government on 5 January.

The members of the government will continue to perform their duties until the approval of the new composition of the Cabinet Ministers.

Alikhan Smailov will become Acting Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. Prior to that, Smailov was the first Deputy Prime Minister.
