EU approves additional sanctions against Russia - List

March 9, Fineko/abc.az. The French presidency in the EU Council announced the approval of additional sanctions affecting individuals and legal entities in Russia and Belarus by the Committee of Permanent Representatives of EU Countries in Brussels (COREPER).

ABC.AZ reports that in particular, the measures taken are aimed at excluding three Belarusian banks from the SWIFT system and sanctions against the maritime sector.

"COREPER II has approved new sanctions against Russian leaders and oligarchs and their family members," the French Permanent Mission to the EU informs.

Such persons will be prohibited from traveling.

The use of cryptocurrencies against sanctions against Russia will be prohibited. Some products and technologies will be banned for shipping to Russia. Sanctions against the shipbuilding industry will be imposed in Russia.
