Carriages by road increased in Azerbaijan for past 8 months

September 15, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Aug 2022, 79.5 million tons of cargo and 892,200 passengers were transported in Azerbaijan by road transport, which has the largest share in terms of traffic volume in the transport sector.

The State Statistics Committee informs that compared with Jan-Aug 2021, these indicators grew by 11.8% and 25%, respectively.

"94.1% of passengers were carried by buses, and 5.9% used taxi services," the Committee reports.
