Tanker ‘Lachin’ shipped over 238,000 tons of oil and petroleum products

December 13, Fineko/abc.az. The first Azerbaijani tanker of local production – ‘Lachyn’ - built at the Baku Shipbuilding Plant LLC by order of the Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO), has so far carried 238,788.6 tons of oil and petroleum products.

ASCO reports that 3 years have passed since the tanker was put into operation with the participation of President Ilham Aliyev. The length of the tanker is 141 m, the width is 16.9 m, the deadweight is 7,884 tons at sea and 5,455 tons in the river. The vessel is capable of moving at speed of 10 nautical knots per hour and has 6 oil storage facilities with total volume of 9,190 cu m.
