February 14, Fineko/abc.az. In addition to CBA’s notes, Azerbaijani banks invest in government bonds of the Ministry of Finance.

ABC.AZ reports that investments in MoF securities reached 17.7% in the total assets of banks for 2022. In 2021, this figure was 12.7%, in 2020 - 13.5%, and in 2019 - 10%.

Five out of 25 banks in the country do not show interest in securities at all. Investments of 14 banks range from 10 million to 100 million manats.

The largest finances in securities are invested by the three largest banks in the country - ABB Bank, PASHA Bank and Kapital Bank.

The investments of the above-said three banks in securities amount to AZN 7.26 bn (87% of entire banking sector investments in securities).
