February 6, Fineko/abc.az. The Kremlin analyzes thoroughly the data of Rosstat (Russian Federal State Statistics Service) on the growth of Russia's GDP in 2018, while taking into account other sources of information on different parameters of economic development.

Russian President’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov told journalists that Rosstat is a serious organization and its figures "are based on deep analysis".

"We take (these data) into account and analyze it thoroughly. There are also other sources of expert opinion on various parameters of development," Peskov stressed.

Answering the question whether the data from different sources coincide, the Kremlin representative noted that "there are certain nuances, but this requires additional analysis".

Rosstat published the first estimate of Russia's GDP for past year, in which it says that the Russian economy grew by 2.3% compared with 2017.
