Over 60% of investments directed for non-oil sector

July 4, Fineko/abc.az. Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev stated during his speech at conference "Government is the Best Partner of the Entrepreneur" that up to $260 million was invested in the country's economy, and about half of them are foreign investments.

He added that more than 60% of all investments were directed for the non-oil sector and more than 2 million jobs created. At the same time, the share of the private sector in GDP made up 85% and in employment 76% last year.

The minister also pointed out that investment of AZN 3.2 bn are to be made in 367 investment projects and due to that up to 24,000 new jobs will be created.
