January 9, Fineko/abc.az. The contracts for pilot renewable energy projects between the Ministry of Energy and companies ACWA Power and Masdar of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have been signed at the Azerbaijani Cabinet Ministers with the participation of Prime Minister Ali Asadov.

ABC.AZ informs that speaking about generation of renewable energy, Asadov stressed the successful implementation of a number of initiatives in this area.

According to Asadov, the renewable energy industry has recently taken an important place in the development of the green economy.

"Signing of new contracts with foreign companies is one of the major steps in this sphere. These contracts envisage investment projects in Azerbaijan and will promote to development of the national economy and creation of jobs. These projects will ensure the energy sustainability of our country. The generation of renewable energy will contribute to the domestic green economy," the PM emphasized.
