Oil price may end the week with a rise first time since February, with Brent at $30.25 a barrel

May 8, Fineko/abc.az. In Friday’s trading oil prices are rising and may end the week with growth for the first time since February on the basis of expectation of a gradual recovery in demand and a reduction in production by large oil producers.

By 11:20 am, at the London ICE Futures Exchange, Brent crude futures for July rose by $0.80 (2.72%) up to $30.26 per barrel.

Following the trading on 7 May at the ICE Futures Exchange the July’s futures fell by $0.26 (0.87%) to $29.46 per barrel.

By 11:20 am, at the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) the WTI futures for June rose in price by $1.01 (4.29%) up to $24.56 per barrel.

At the end of trading on 7 May at NYMEX the June’s WTI oil futures fell in price by $0.44 (1.83%) to $23.55 per barrel.
